It used to work, but might not work with current versions of FreeBSD. I have used the Sil and Sil controllers, and they are okay. I am really sii 3114 for the drivers for this raid card, because without them windows won't find my HDs. Thank you for the help. Boot problem with SiI 3114 PCI SATA card
As the installation process begins you may be presented with a dialog warning about a non-logo'd driver, click 'Continue Anyway' to continue the installation. Linux do have viruses, albeit sii 3114 lot less, but it's getting up there. At best, sii 3114 card could have been firmware RAID. There is nothing or very little that describes what happens to data in the event of a failure.

I forget what driver I used. And then, it is my understanding that you expect Sii 3114 to be like Windows where you "expect" the OS to be "smarter" than the user, and automate the tasks that you have set sii 3114 to accomplish. Did you not realize that such an expectation is vile from the beginning? I don't remember exactly, but I do believe that it also has the DNS cache server also there as well. I would have expected the OS to pick up the RAID array as one unit that's how it's always been and that's the way it should be. What I would like to see is how you would recover from a OS failure.
I would like to see that more so than any benchmark. As I see it, that is like your worst enemy, where you have a power failure that either corrupts your OS files, or where it fails fsck, or where the MBR is not longer readable, or corrupt bootloader. I would like to sii 3114 you try and get to your data after such events.
